Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a platform where individuals and groups, regardless of background or skill level can come together to learn and play mahjong. We’re committed to:

Accessibility: We will prioritize free and affordable events in an effort to lower barriers to entry for interested parties.

Respect and Inclusivity: Our events are for all people of all backgrounds. We do not tolerate disrespect or discrimination on the basis of age, race, sex, ethnic background, creed, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, etc., ensuring that all those who want to play can safely do so.

Support: We support artists, educators, and other pillars of our community. We are part of a larger fight against anti-intellectualism and are committed to fairly compensating and accrediting human partners for their work. We stand against the use of AI to replace human creativity and critical thought.

Our Goals Include

Platforming competitive-minded players to grow in their understanding of the game on a deeper level. We aim to serve as an outlet both for those who want a beginner-friendly environment and also those who are finely attuned to the statistical underbelly of mahjong games and tournaments.

Preserving culture to serve as an archive of past, present and future. Mahjong is more than a trend, and we will pass the torch on to the next generation.

Protecting our neighbors and our community. We serve everyone, especially those that are in need. We encourage activities and conversation that raise our collective social consciousness. We aim to serve the Atlanta homeless population, volunteer our time across the Metro Atlanta area, and to train others to host free and low-cost events.
